International Center for Transitional Justice (ICTJ) and Advocacy Center for Democracy and Development (ACDD) seek the services of a consultant to conduct the final external evaluation of the project “Phase II Strengthening civil societies’ capacities to contribute to the transitional justice process in Ethiopia” (NDICI HR INTPA/2023/451-334).

The International Center for Transitional Justice (ICTJ) seeks the services of a consultant or company to conduct a final evaluation pursuant to a grant funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands (Dutch MFA), covering 1 April 2022 to 31 March 2026. The overall objective is to assess the overall success of this partnership and identify areas for improvement.

The International Center for Transitional Justice (ICTJ) is an international non-profit organization specializing in the field of transitional justice. ICTJ works across society and borders to challenge the causes and address the consequences of massive human rights violations. We affirm victims’ dignity, fight impunity, and promote responsive institutions.

ICTJ seeks Finance Officer with experience in administrative and financial management to ensure the proper and efficient financial management of the office and its different projects, in accordance with ICTJ policies and procedures, Belgian legal and tax requirements, and the requirements of various donors.

The Major Gifts Officer will contribute to growing philanthropic support for ICTJ’s mission by identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding major individual donors and family foundations and supporting the Director of Development on work with the organization’s top individual and foundation donors and prospects.

The International Center for Transition Justice (ICTJ) internship program has been an ongoing part of ICTJ since its inception. We value providing an enriching and rewarding experience for students who are passionate about transitional justice and interested in making an invaluable contribution to communities that have experienced mass atrocities.

Interns should have the following skills:

  • Attention to detail and strong research and analytical skills.
  • Experience with quantitative and/or qualitative data analysis methods (a plus).
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Data visualization or design skills (a plus).
  • A keen interest in human rights and transitional justice.

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Please note that all internship positions are unpaid, and applicants seeking an internship for academic credit may be prioritized. Selected interns must major in the field of study relevant to the desired intern position and must possess strong writing and verbal communication skills.

The ICTJ seeks to recruit a communications fellow who will work closely with the program and communications teams to disseminate the ITJA project’s work, engage stakeholders across different sectors, and enhance its visibility across Africa and beyond.

Programs Interns will be guided and receive practical instruction on many of the broad range of transitional justice themes and activities. Interns will learn directly about ICTJ’s work in key areas of transitional justice and human rights around the world and gain practical experience by being part of a global team. Applicants are encouraged to indicate whether they have specific thematic or geographic interests or backgrounds that align with ICTJ’s strategic priorities. Additionally, individuals with legal experience or training are especially encouraged to apply.

The Communications Intern will learn about ICTJ’s work advancing transitional justice and human rights around the world and contribute directly to the organization’s communications efforts.

ICTJ's design, monitoring, and evaluation intern will contribute to our mission of fighting impunity, affirming victims’ dignity, and promoting responsive institutions. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain first-hand experience in the field of human rights and monitoring and evaluation for transitional justice, gender, peacebuilding or related work.
