1 Killed, 15 Injured in Northeast Colombia Car Bomb Attack on Police Station

At least one person was killed and another 15 injured in a car bomb attack on a police station on the outskirts of Cucuta, the capital of Norte de Santander. 

According to the National Police, the bomb exploded on Monday evening outside of the police station in Los Patios, a municipality that is part of Cucuta’s metropolitan area. 

In the region around Cucuta, the guerrilla organizations, The National Liberation Army and General Staff of Blocks and Front, have been fighting each other. Organized crime groups operate mainly inside the urban area of the capital of the Norte de Santander province.
